Whippet Rescue and Placement is a not-for-profit 501(C)3 organization. The purpose of WRAP is to rescue stray, abandoned, relinquished and/or impounded Whippets in the United States.

We do not operate a shelter or have a central location where you can visit the dogs. All whippets are cared for by volunteers in foster homes across the country. This allows us to give them the individualized attention and care they deserve. …It also allows us to get to know each whippet and help match them with a home that best fits their personality.

All whippets receive thorough veterinary care prior to adoption; including spay/neuter, vaccines, heartworm test, microchip, and treatment for any illness or injury as needed. We are 100% volunteer operated so all donations and adoption fees go directly to the medical care of dogs in our care.(301) 681-5470
