The Meriden Humane Society is a non profit, ” NO Kill ” animal shelter and rescue facility, and have been since 1893.

Many of our animals are taken from high risk situations like high kill pounds, cruelty investigations and from private citizens who are no longer able to care for their animals.

Our organization is privately run and operated and is supported by patrons and residents who donate to our facility. WE RECEIVE NO FUNDING FROM THE CITY OR STATE OF CT.

Without the help we receive from the citizens of our community and surrounding communities, we would not be able to save all the animals that we do.
