The Humane Society of Alameda, formerly known as the Alameda Animal Rescue and Control, is a non-profit 501(c)3, tax exempt, all volunteer organization founded in 1973. Our purpose is to provide assistance to all animals and wildlife, humane treatment of animals through education of proper care, provide assistance through the spay and neuter program to control the pet population and to provide financial assistance to our Alameda Animal Shelter.(510) 337-9457
