Since the inception of Hill Country Animal League (HCAL, established in 1986), over 74,000 spay/neuter surgeries have been provided which has helped to stop millions of unwanted pets from being born. HCAL works directly with the general public and collaborates with multiple nonprofit animal rescue groups, local city and county animal service programs, schools and other nonprofit agencies to help encourage the importance of pet sterilizations within the greater Hill Country area.
