A Better English Setter Rescue, Inc. (“ABESR”) is a 501(c)(3) that was formed in 2014 for the purpose of rescuing, fostering, caring for, and adopting to new homes, and preventing the abuse, neglect and abandonment of English Setter dogs and English Setter-mix dogs of all ages, as well as educating the public about and advancing the best interests of the breed. Each of the Founders, and many of the members of the Board of Trustees and volunteers, of ABESR, has had more than ten years experience of volunteer work with other tax-exempt nonprofits organized for the purpose of preventing cruelty to animals and the rescue, transport, foster, and adoption of English Setter dogs.(201) 406-3400
