The Humane Society of York County (HSYC) was founded in 1976 to help address the needs of an ever-growing animal population. Originally, all animals were cared for in the homes of dedicated volunteers. In 1999 we moved to 2036 Carolina Place in Fort Mill, SC, with the capacity to house over ninety cats and about fifty dogs. In 2011, we were so excited to announce that we had moved into our current location at 8177 Regent Parkway with increased capacity and a beautiful facility. We continue to have a small part-time staff, a director, and a group of wonderful volunteers that keep our Rescue and PAWSibilities Thrift Shop running!803) 802-0902
