Mini Australian/American Shepherds have increased in popularity resulting in Mini Aussies turning up in shelters, on Craigslist, and with rescue groups across the United States. In response to the increasing number of dogs in need, MARS was created to develop a nationwide organization that supports Mini Aussies, their human families, and the many volunteers that want to help. In 2004, MARS was incorporated as an all-volunteer 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. In January of 2005, MARS took in its first rescue Mini Aussie. As a national group, we encourage cooperation between people in different areas who are helping Mini Aussies. In the years that we’ve been rehoming Mini Aussies, we have placed over 1,000 dogs into forever homes.info@miniaussierescue.org
