The Akita Rescue Society of Florida was founded in February of 1985. We were incorporated as a 501c3 organization in 1990. Our mission is to reduce the number of unwanted, abandoned or abused Akitas throughout Florida, Georgia, Alabama, Mississippi, Tennessee, Louisiana and the Carolinas, and when necessary, provide them refuge until they can be adopted into responsible, loving homes.904-398-5786
