The Amarillo-Panhandle Humane Society has been serving Amarillo and the upper 26 counties of the Texas Panhandle since 1954. The goal of the Humane Society is to promote humane education and proper pet care and responsibility to the citizens of the Texas Panhandle. Most of the animals available for adoption through the Amarillo-Panhandle Humane Society are transferred from the Amarillo Animal Control Shelter. Our goal is to eliminate the needless euthanasia of adoptable animals at the shelter. The Humane Society offers many services to the community. As a 501 (c)(3) nonprofit organization, we operate on donations which stay in the Panhandle area to benefit the animals here.

We are not a branch of any other humane organizations and operate according to our bylaws and a board of directors.806-373-1716
