For more than a decade, UnderDog has been an active rescue supporting our community, local shelters and high kill shelters throughout the State. Each year, our rescue accepts hundreds of unwanted, neglected and abused dogs. As an all-volunteer organization, we open our hearts and homes to dogs that would otherwise be killed in over-crowded shelters. We also work diligently within our community to support individuals who can no longer care for their animals.

Our rescue has a stellar reputation for doing what’s right, taking good care of our animals and following a strict, safe adoption process to ensure our dogs go into loving, stable homes. As a volunteer organization, we have minimal administrative costs. Our monthly expenditures include the medical care for our animals.

We operate solely on donations and adoption fees. Many times, our adoption fees do not adequately cover the medical needs of the dog upon arrival. We are one of the few rescues who accept heartworm positive dogs, or dogs that have been injured, neglected and abused. Many of our dogs arrive with severe skin, eye and ear infections due to neglect. We accept injured dogs knowing the additional cost associated with medical, but we are their only hope for survival941-746-9663
