Friends of Charlie’s Place (FOCP) is a new 501c3 nonprofit that is designed to help support the Clear Creek/Gilpin Co. Animal Shelter. Some of the goals the shelter has for the group include:
Write grant proposals and organize fundraisers to build funds, especially for medical and spay/neuter expenses.
Provide out-of-shelter rehabilitation and training of dogs with serious but correctible behavior issues.
Provide behavior enrichment for shelter dogs (walks, hikes, play activity, training).
Help promote and appropriately place hard-to-adopt animals.
Organize and participate in adoption events
