Notes

The Shelter was established in May 2009 after the MSPCA discontinued its services on Martha’s Vineyard.

In May 2011, the Animal Shelter of Martha’s Vineyard (ASMV) was incorporated, and in December of 2011, the Shelter received its non-profit 501(c)3 designation.

In January of 2012, the Shelter accepted the gift of the Kitty Foote building from the MSPCA and began operation as an independent non-profit.508-627-8662
